On the Sunday of the Carnival in the area around Kefalos and Antimachia revives the custom with the "camouzeles", which has been holding for half a century on the island of Kos. The "camouzeles" or little deers, in the old days, were masquerades painted with charcoal, covered with "chramia(traditional textile)" (colorful woven blankets) and brandishing the "kokala" were getting to the streets of the village, teasing and amusing the inhabitants.

The custom includes rich traditional music, facetious, abundant ouzo, wine and traditional mezedes(snacks), while late in the evening the ghost is being burnt.
