Information

The monastery of Agia Pelagia is on the South, near Kastrosikia. It is built on an olive tree slope that stretches from the outskirts of the village to the Ionian Sea, near the national road Preveza - Igoumenitsa.

It was built in the 17th century and has been renovated twice (in 1613 and 1795). The stone iconostasis was constructed in 1856 as indicated by the date written on the images of the Crucifixion and the Holy Apostles.

The monastery is a simple four-cross, square church. The monastic cells can be found in the west of katholikon. They are comprised in a rectangular building with three living areas and an open balcony. Of the buildings that have been preserved till nowadays, the oldest one is the pillar with the arched doorway. There is an engraved inscription on it Σ / Σ / 1894.
