For 12 years, a separate carnival has been held in Elassona.
This is the Flying Carnival, which f pendulous masquerades take part, attracting the interest of sports’ friends - and not only.
The starting point of Elassona's "flying parade" is located at the ridge just outside the town of Elassona, next to the municipal district of the Forest.
From there the disguised people fly until they land on the foothill of the mountain where many people welcome them.
